A true family business

In 1998, Klae a qualified chef arrived in Perth after leaving Newcastle, Australia and travelling half way around the world before settling in Joondalup.  Sam, originally from Manchester, England moved to Australia in 1988 also settled with her family in the Joondalup area.

In 2000 both were working in Joondalup across the road from each other.  Sam walked into Klae’s place of work and before long they were a couple (due to lots of persistence from Klae).  Marrying in 2004 they now have two amazing boys and want to be a true family business ‘Elroys Café’.  Previously, Klae and Sam owned ‘The Red Pepper’ in West Perth, an extremely successful gourmet breakfast, lunch and catering business.

At ‘Elroys Café’ we now have the opportunity to bring what we love to do and the experience that we have, home to where we live, while being close to family, friends and our boys”
